Challenge

To produce a full graphic design and branding solution and provide on-going design and visual communication support for a Blackpool charity, Brian House Children’s Hospice. This vast exercise has been carried out as part of a full re-branding exercise to be rolled out and be in place for 2020.

Solution

Working as part of Trinity Hospice’s in-house communications team. Over the course of roughly a year, during 2018 and 2019 I have helped the non-profit organisation carry out a brand overhaul.

Design work includes: logo design and visual identity, brand graphics and merchandise and the curation of a brand guidelines document. Creation of printed literature and leaflets for varying hospice services, direct mail campaigns, stationery design and exhibition collateral. With the addition of events marketing and awareness campaigns, gorilla advertising concepts and website design support and guidance. Retail charity outlets also required visual branding and design to position themselves prominently on local high streets in Blackpool, Cleveleys and Thornton.

Result

A lively and colourful brand that helps to reposition Brian House as Blackpool’s most prominent Fylde Coast children’s charity. A brand that is recognisable on all platforms; be that social media, in the press and out in the wider community. A visual brand that communicates and connects with its audience.
